About Kris Lasneski, Dingo-Blue Owner (and dog Owner).
I’ve worked over 20 years in design and advertising for corporations throughout MN. During that time I designed award-winning newspaper circulars, placed in the Top 20 (out of roughly 10,000) in both the 11th & 12th Telus World Ski & Snowboard Topskin Design contests, designed dozens of graphics, programs and brochures for the Varsity Cheer & Dance Championships featured on ESPN, built several retail sign kits and displays for Sam Goody, Suncoast, and Best Buy brands, and worked on promotional materials, flyers, national magazine ads, direct mail, gift cards — and a whole bunch more!
When the time came for me to start my own company, I searched carefully for a name that would represent my values. Turns out, inspiration was right under my nose (or more accurately, my desk) — my special-needs Australian Cattle Dog, Tellher.
Tellher was a giant pair of ears with a tail that I adopted in the spring of 2010. I quickly learned that my canine companion was diabetic, a rare condition in puppies. I knew that if I returned her, she would be destroyed. That was it. No matter what, this was my dog and I was going “all-in.”
On our walks together, the most common question I would hear is “is that a fox?” or “is that a Dingo?” Tellher was a quirky girl that has taken my life in interesting directions (although adopting illegal wildlife is not one of them!) I chose the Dingo-Blue name to remind me to be open to the unexpected, to the creative and to the fun that our life’s work can have in store for us.
The name also reminds me that every client deserves commitment and passion for their projects, no matter what the obstacles. There are no cookie-cutter solutions in design. Each project has its own set of challenges, needs and limitations — but also incredible potential! Working with you in a way that makes you feel heard and brings your brand to life is the fun part of what I do.
Anyone who owns a dog knows that it teaches you patience, persistence, creativity and loyalty. I’d love to talk about working doggedly on your next project!
